COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Carlton Draught is one of Australia's biggest selling tap beers. This traditional full strength lager, available nationally, is renowned for delivering "brewery fresh" taste. Carlton Draught provides a crisp mid-palate flavour which is balanced with a clean hop bitterness and a slightly dry finish.

Pale gold colour with a tall, short lasting, and rocky white head. The aroma is negliable. The body is thin, but normal for the style. The flavour is terrible, it’s not bad because it lacks flavour, no, it just plan tastes bad, like adjuncts, weird bittnerness that doesn’t remind me of hops and a bad aftertaste.

Clear gold colour with smal white head, corn aroma, sweet malty taste with burnt smoke aftertatse. Typical CUB.

Good pub beer, tastes even better on tap, one of CUB’s best all round beers.

One of the best beers i have ever tasted, by the way, was reading a rating on this beer, this is not a light beer.

Very nice the first decent beer i tasted in a stubby. Yet to find it on tap very nice beer overall.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2006 Bottle. Didn’t quite make it to the stage you can sometimes reach with a really bland crappy beer where you can at least drink it without really thinking about it too much... every gulp was somewhat of an effort. Perhaps due to the fact that I was in a 2 hour focus group talking about beer labelling, and so didn’t have quite enough to distract me.

On tap at the Fortune of War Bar in Sydney. Pale yellow in color with a bright white head. Smooth and cold when consumed in Sydney’s oldest bar. Average low-flavor Oz lager. However, I think it has a smoother palate than the others. This beer makes me very burpy, though.

Better than VB, not as good as Melbourne, after the first 5 can’t taste it anyway, at a pub near you.
