Carlton Draught is one of Australia's biggest selling tap beers. This traditional full strength lager, available nationally, is renowned for delivering "brewery fresh" taste. Carlton Draught provides a crisp mid-palate flavour which is balanced with a clean hop bitterness and a slightly dry finish.

i’m sure most folk at ratebeer have had a moment of slight annoyance when offering a non-beer-person a taste of a good beer. They have stated that it "tastes like beer". Well despite the fact i hate the idea of a generic beer taste, i think i will use it to describe Carlton Draught. "CARTON DRAUGHT : Tastes Like Beer. You Know; Yuk"

A horror beer. If it’s the only option make sure this piss is cold to get it down. Be prepared for a headache the next day.

Tap - pours gold white head, bit sweet, bit bland. Not a great deal to say.

Often the only option. Tinny taste, best part is the questions under the cap.

Tap. Pours clear golden with a small head. Canny aroma and taste. Slight hints of lager characteristics if you look carefully, but mostly it?s water with bubbles and alcohol.

well, my Dad likes it... you’ll have to ask him why. If you drink it cold enough, maybe you can get away with it.

Whacko the diddle-o! Another hugely popular offering from CUB. Smell from bottle is all chemicals but glass is better, slight sweetness/spice. Light amber with bubbly head. Tastes of very little actually. And the palate is nowhere near as offensive as VB. Hardly any cooked vegetables (still some) and a tiny hop bitterness. Not as bad as I feared.

More old Aussie pale lager crap from CUB. Years ago I drank this and got shocking hangovers, it is utterly disgusting and drank by an ocean of idiots. Avoid.

Bottle from walkabout UK. Clear golden colour not much head, but drunk from bottle. Aroma has a touch of malt. Taste is dull and life less, I’ve had worse much worse.

A bit of a deep golden color with a white head. Grainy aroma with a bit if sweetness. Bland with a slightly off-putting pebbly grain flavor. Not something I’d want to drink too much of.

Keg - Newport Arms, Newport, NSW. A golden amber colour with a small, somewhat lasting and lacing white head. Tangy mid-fruits, corn, grain and some biscuity malt characters. Finishes with a subtle pithy, grainy bitterness, an underlying biscuity sweetness and a tang of mid-fruits. Light to medium body, medium carbonation ending on a short, low intensity bitterness. Lacking somewhat in interest and refreshment value.
