This little effort by CUB was not bad at all. Its got some long taste as well as a good puring head. Don't know why people have rated it so low...maybe they are not drinking that well.

a not too offensive mid-strength lager, almost sour malt and hints of hop odour and character, next..

   AROMA 3/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 7/20
dreamboat (186) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - DEC 8, 2003
UPDATED: AUG 5, 2004 Hint of sweetness behind a slightly hoppy aroma, notable apple/pear aroma which dominates after the first sniff. Pours as well as the rest of the megalagers, ie, looks okay for a while, then the bubbles and the head dissappear. Fairly well balanced taste, though fairly thin on the palate as would be expected with this lower alcohol style. Certainly superior to the crap (XXXX gold) that the QLD locals tend to get into.

I'm not a big fan of midstrengths, but this is one of the least offensive. Its good on a hot day if nothing else.

I rate this beer above VB but with similar bland faint flavour. I guess it is good if your thirsty and have to drive.

Bland beer without and real distinguishing features. Only produced so people could have 1 standard drink per beer to keep track of their drinks. Pretty pointless really.

This beer has a light yellow body - hue with a bitter initial flavor and a light body.

color i light amber with a decent head. The taste is hoppy. For a "light" beer its alright.
