This one divides my friends, but I land on the side that doesnít favor it. Too much licorice in the flavor (funny that I loved that flavor as a kid). Many other fine qualities of roasted, thick, molasses like taste and decent mouth feel.

Dark-brown-black color with a frothy head, smells like iodine, really sweet and surypy, I donít know if I can finish it.

A quality stout for the price. Nice and smooth with nice subtle roasted coffee flavor.

Pour yourself a glass of molasses and toast the Aussies. I think this beer isnít bad at all. Granted...the sweetness is a little much after 1 pt. 9.6 oz of this stuff, but the flavor is pretty straight forward and unique in a way. Extra points for the bigger bottle. Sheaf wonít shaft you on quantity.

Surprisingly nice aroma, dark body, with a light tan head. From there things went downhill for me, with too watery a palate, and fairly weak flavors of malt and hops, and a coffee-ish tone. Not a bad stout, but with so many to choose from, canít say this would be the one Iíd buy.

Weak Worchestershire sauce like aroma, but full coffee flavor. Not as thick as other stouts, nor as bitter. Weak hop aroma and taste. Defintitely easy drinking, but not very stout. Typical of mass-produced beers. Not that itís bad, but it has a lot of competition.

I was skeptical of this beer to begin with. The aroma proved me wrong though, it was fantastic. Molasses, caramel, toffee, some coffee, nice and strong albeit syruppy sweet. The flavour, unfortunately, could not standup to it. Very watery, some coffee with a weak hop finish. Very prettyh though.

light toasted malt aroma, flavor is thin, watery, some malt, toffee notes, light strange finish.

nice and roasted, totally solid, preferably drank out of the bottle while shooting pool, it just feels right that way

Aroma predictably malty--slightly sweet, slightly roasty--light on both counts...Opaque deep brown color--tan head with fingered lace...Flavor starts with light malt sweetness, which gives way to the roastier malts and mild hoppiness---a bit of carbonated bite as well...This adds to the lively mouthfeel but sacrifices a bit of balance and smoothness in the process...still, this is quite pleasant stuff...
