2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
1 Pint 9.4 oz bottle. Pours a thin black color. Very little head. Aroma is slight malt, some toasted notes. Flavor is mostly malt, some sweet alcohol notes at the end. Palate is thin for a stout, and fairly fizzy. Overall it’s ok. I’ll drink it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint 9 bottle shared. Pours a dark brown with a short lasting coffee colored head. The aroma is sweet roasted malts and chocolate. The flavor is somewhat thin in comparison of other stouts but the flavor is quite chocolately. Pretty decent overall but not outstanding.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Chocolate sweetness aroma in this black beer with a brown head. Choc flavor. Thats it. No bitterness no hop flavor just simple choc flavor with a smooth finish and a plesant aftertaste of choc. Medium bodied. Good.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle into pint glass. Dark chocolate nose. Opaque black beer with lasting tan head. Bitter & zingy on the tongue. Finishes with bitter coffee notes. Lasting cocoa note right at the end. Beautifully balanced.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
25.4oz bottle from Roth’s. Just about pitch black upon pouring. Slightly sweet nose of anise, with an almost vinous quality to it. Slightly sweet black licorice up front, followed by very dry, bitter coffee. Some woodiness that reminds me of wine for some reason. Pretty good flavors up until the finish which is a little lacking.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
16.9 oz bottle -
Another newer stocked stout found at BevMo, and it probably should have stayed on the shelf. I guess for $3.00 it’s not a total loss. But it’s got some serious flaws, as a stout should never have green apple in the flavor and this has tons of it. Aroma is really light roasted coffee/toffee and an herbal note. Flavor is lightly roasted coffee and green apple. Yuck.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Size: 1 pint, 9.4oz. Dark brown pour with a foamy tan head. Aroma is sweet sugary cookie and cocoa. Flavor at first was too sweet and a little salty, but as the beer warmed the flavor mellowed out and some cocoa and roasted malt flavor came out. The body is light and the level of carbonation is low.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
i really can’t convey my shock at this beer. it is a stout, not a thin black concoction with too much roast or an overhopped monstrosity. it is a real honest to whatever gods you believe in stout. it is 5.7% it is drinkable, it gives a light roast flavor with a lingering milky very mild cocoa flavor. hop presence is there for balance, but above all, this is drinkable. i could sip on a few of these. mild light coffee nose with hints of chocolate. i am very happy to have this easily available to me.
