COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Carlton Sterling is a double hopped 2.5% lager and as its name suggests, is a true marque of brewing excellence made from world-class ingredients. The finest of pale malts and roasted barley are used to create malt flavour and colour. Noble Saaz hops and Australian Pride of Ringwood hops provide a subtle yet distinctive hop aroma and flavour. CUBs unique double hopped brewing process, normally reserved for premium beers, maximises flavour to create a light beer of distinction. Its this unique character that brings an extra layer of flavour to this excellent quality low alcohol beer.

I had some of this at the cricket because the only other alternative was VB, and that must be avoided at all costs. This rates lower than VB because it is a light, but it did have a bitter, metallic taste that is preferable to me than the bile of VB. In saying the above, it is the usual crap tasting CUB effort. They are a blight on brewing in this country and the world as a whole.

This is horrible stuff, tastes soapy, and not like beer at all. Stay away....you have been warned!

Drinkable, like chlorinated water is. I think the label belies one of it's ingredients (aluminium sulphide).

At the risk of sounding like a tool, I actually enjoyed a longneck of this. Really easy to drink, although nothing spectacular. Shame about the low alcohol.

Remember this is a ligth beer and should be judged as suuch. It is certainly a little watery but for a light beer it has a good nose and some unique flavour qualities. I enjoyed it.
