Arrived a cloudy, dark orange/brown color with a tall 1/4 inch, dense creamy, blinding white head that really sticks around. The contrast between the beer color and the head it forms is quite astounding. Deep creme brulee caramel sweetness, vanilla and a strong Citra hops fruitiness. Flavor has a pronounced candy caramel sweetness up front but mellows as other flavors take hold. A mild orange citrus comes through with a light vanilla kick at the end. Texture has a very hefty creamy feeling, great lacing, a bit gritty at the end from all the suspended particles in the brew. My last sip had a significant amount of particulate. Slightly on the sweet side but still a killer beer. I think a little more toasted presence from the malt would of evened the sweetness out perfectly. Definitely a beer I will order again.
