COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Filtered bottle.
Originally produced for the wholesaler LWC Jollys at the, now defunct, Ring O Bells brewery in Cornwall. After the closure of Ring O Bells, Jollys changed the branding of a number of the bottled beers to Carn Brea and moved production (via Keltek) to Hepworth. The recipes may differ from the originals.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Clear amber golden with a nice off-white head. Sweetish nutty aroma. Medium body with a little burned caramel - still dry though - and nutty accents. Fairly bitter finish. 031008

Bottle, picked up by my dad from Cornwall. Pours a fairly standard brown colour with a medium off white frothy head. Aroma of fruits and hops, taste is pleasantly malty with some bitterness at the end. Fine but nothing special.

Hand pump at Rock Inn, Yelverton. This is one of the beers I have regularly but seems particularly variable in quality and needs to be kept well and drunk quickly. A dark ruby red coloour, with a thin creamy head which does not dispearse, and no bubbles. Sweet hops, bitter berries and fruit in the complex aroma, and it is slightly alive (as opposed to noticably fizzy) on the tongue.

Clear amber with large off white head. Sweet aroma with caramel notes. Sweet fruity flavor with caramel and mild hoppy notes. Ends bitter.

Bottled. From Beer Essentials, Horsham. Hazed, slightly orangey body. Sediment city. Biscuity with decent bitter structure. No complaints and would still like to try it hand-pumped.

Bottled@Chris O Post GBBF tasting. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is fruits, yeast and some mild notes of grains. Flavour is hops, some grass and a bit of plastic pipe.

Hadpulled at Ramblers Inn, Edale. Tired old biscuits coated in old spices - not in great condition at this overpriced ’pub’. Perhaps it’s been on too long as everyone walks up to the Nags for a decent pint instead? Has potential but wasted here.
