Bottled. Reddish brown coloured. Dense beige head. Sweet, light fruit and light notes of tee in the aroma. Very vague chocolate notes. Flavour is vaguely roasted and has some light liqourice notes. Is light fruity as well. Light bodied. Sweetish chocolatish end with a very vague bitterness in the background.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
courtesy of Domtom - clear and very dark brown colour with a giant creamy beige head; soapy and metallic aroma, decent roastiness and notes of raisins; thin-bodied and moderately sweet; the finish is slightly salty and terribly watery - a whole bottle of nothing

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Courtesy of oh6gdx. Thank you, Pat. Aroma is a cross bewteen that vaguely stale and hay like macro lager smeel and a basic brewpub brown porter with its mild roast and coffee/cola aromas. Body pours dark brown, but it settles to near black in the glass. The head is two fingers of fluffy tan froth, but it fades fairly quickly. Mild roast and watered down coffee flavors with a bready finish. But I actually would drink this in the right circumstances because it has some of the flavors I like (though in low concentration) but with less alcohol. so in a social setting you could have a few without getting schnockered. As it warms it tastes almost Schwarzbier like with very mild stewed raisin notes.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Almost black with a small brown head. Aroma has some slight coffee to it but nothing else. The mouthful is obvously quite thin, but does manage to give some good roast coffee charactor. There is also a dryness to it that does not exist in the real carnegie. The finish has hints of caramel. Its a decent beer, but I dont see why anyone would buy it unless the bolaget is shut!

Fine and dark, but on the watery side. Soem roasted malt, but these watered-down versions of Swedish beers seldom turn out well.

I did not like its big brother too much, but this one is almost better in comparison. It has a thick palate, but the taste is missing.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml bottle brought from Sweden by my sister-in-law. Poured a very dark brown with a reddish tint and small tan head. Light aroma of day old coffee and a bit of metal. The taste has a bit of cocoa and coffee. Finishes moderately bitter and slightly metallic. Decent.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
330ml bottle bought at a supermarket in Kiruna, Sweden. Very dark in colour with a small off-white head. Malty aroma. Very mild flavour. Taste like watery cocoa and is far away from the real C.P. (sampled at a rating session at Elsas, Skibotn 14.07.2006)
