Dark, almost black colour. Smokey aroma. Chocolatey, somewhat smokey/burnt flavour. Dry finish. High drinkability. Almost as good as the stronger version.

Good beer to be Swedish beer. Good smell, good taste and just the right flavor. The aftertaste is just a little off. But I still think this was a good beer to be 3.5%. A good weak Porter simply.

50cl bottle in Stockholm. Thin pour, big head. Feet and yeast in the smell - pretty off putting (though I’ve increased the aroma rating to make the overall score fair). Taste is…bubblegum. Pretty strange. Not as bad as I was expecting from the smell, but not great either.

Drought. Dark brown slightly hazy appearance, spongy amber-beige head, cocoa aroma, smooth cocoa-coffee taste, long finish. A very smooth porter.

Bierkrug (1919) - Idar-Oberstein (In Iraq), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - DEC 14, 2011
500 ml bottle shared with Bottleman at Wasanas in Germany. Pours a dark almost black color with a soft tan head. Aroma is caramel, coco, and some citrus. Mainly coffee and milk coco, caramel and roasted malt. Palate is of course light and the finish quick, but the roasted coffee remains. A good beer for its strenght. Something the Sweeds seem to be good at.

Classic! Full, rich sound and full-bodied. Lovely sweetness and rich foam with mild licorice notes.

Small head, black body. Sweet and malty w. notes of coffee and a nice bitterness. Session porter.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2005 Bottle, at home. Light taste of malt and hops. Mild coffee-taste too. Dark brown with average off-white head. Sweet as well as bitter taste. Realy recommendable.

This is not bad at all. A light bodied porter with liqourice, brown sugar, chocolate and some hops. Balanced and really tasty for a low abv beer.

Slight chokolaty nose. Dark brown, somewhat feeble head. Mainly coffee and milkchokolate flavors, quite pronounced for a beer of this strength. Body is of course light (but not catastrophically so) and the finish quick, yet a bit roasted coffee lingers. Quite nice I think.
