Bottle. Dark colour with a light brown head. A bit of bourbon and caramel in the aroma. Mild chocolate bourbon taste. Will win taste wise by aging some more, but even now a very good porter.

Bourbon nose and falvour. Smooth pleasant porter base, but the barrel character is overwhelming. Out of focus, out of balance.

Bottle. Deep brown, red-hued body, small white head. Nose is coconut, wood, syrup, walnuts, bourbon, chocolate and hints of coffee. Taste is sweet, round bourbon tones (surprise! didn’t know until I tasted it!), coconut, hints of dark chocolate and coffee. Well-balanced and nice, although with a slightly watery finish. A real surprise from the otherwise traditional Carnegie brewery; inviting Garreth Oliver over for a bourbon-barrel project just ain’t bad! :-)

Light and lasting light brown head. black. Nose with wood cask, sweetnes. a little simple. semifullbody andfine length. Soft and sweet with a clear sweet bourbon charachter raisins and liquorize, Very interesting but maybe a little to much??

Bottled:
Pours dark -almost black- brown with ruby edges. Thick and lacing head. Vanilla and Bourbon on the nose with a slight whiff of smoke. Mouthfeel was thinner than expected. Flavour is Bourbon, black currants, licorice and alcohol. Pretty good now, but will probably improve with time.

Bottle. Black with clear reddish brown tints and a big porous tanned head that leaves a thin lace. Big sweet caramelly roasted aroma with milky chocolate and vanilla up first. Then comes more salty notes with soy, bourbon, wet wood, dark fruit and a pinch of dill. Some Play-Doh comes and goes. Taste is quite sweet with lots of caramel, milky chocolate, dried plums and some acidic red berries, vanilla, soy, licorice and some fatty coco in the aftertaste. The body is medium to bigger and the carbonation is slightly mushy but smooth. Very drinkable!

Black of color with a beige head. An aroma of port, roasted malt, bitter notes, raisins sand weak prunes. A flavor of weak chocolate, prunes, raisins and weak sweets.o

Det här var en väldigt lättdrucken porter och smaken präglades främst av choklad, sötma, choklad, lite fruktig syra och choklad. Jag hade inga direkta förväntningar och jag blev vldigt positivt överraskad. Slutsats: choklad.
