COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Draught at Bishops Arms Järntorget, Göteborg. Almost black in colour with low foam. Bourbon, coconut and chocolate aroma, where the bourbon dominates and is almost too much beer-wise. Nice anyway. Mouthfeel is smooth and medium bodied with chocolate and bourbon playing well together along with vanilla, plus a touch of caramel that adds a touch of sweetness. This beer is a bit too bourbon driven for my liking and the original Carnegie is lost somewhere, i.e. not sensed at all. Good beer that might age well.

Very mild, despite the high alcohol strength. Fits equally well with beef as snacks or maybe just for yourself.

lusikka (2533) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 12, 2012
Draught @ Ølfestival København 2012.
Pours a black colour with a creamy beigeish head. Aroma of roasted malts, vanilla and butter. Flavour of roasted malts, butter, dried fruits, vanilla, bourbon and low bitterness. Full bodied, smooth mouthfeel and a smooth, roasty bourbon finish. I don’t like the buttery notes here, but other than that this is a well made dessert.

Aroma has some bourbon notes with vanilla and hints of wood. Flavour has slightly stinting bourbon with vanilla and woody notes. Also hints of licorice. Warming alcohol in the finish. Good, although the bourbon comes through a bit too much.
