COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
One of Michael Jackson’s 500 Classic Brews. Carnegie Porter was brewed for the first time in 1836 and tastes the same today as it did then. Carnegie Porter has a creamy head with a scent of coffee. Its sweet and wellrounded flavor is balanced by the bitterness of the hops. Storage helps the flavor mature and enhances its harmony.

Almost black cola colored beer wit a small head. Aroma is sweet dark malts, smokey, some rye bread and sweet ripe plums. Taste is on the sweet side with coffee, dark malts, ripe fruitiness. Smooth mouthfeel and bitter smooth finish. Lacks the final touch, yet a very enjoyable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle tasted on 21/06/2014. Opaque black colour with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, brown sugar and bread. Taste is sweet, watery, smooth and a little chocolate. Hoppy finish. The problem with this one is the watery palate. Next one please!

Bottle at home from early backlog notes 07. Pours dark brown in color with a small creamy beige head. The aroma and flavor have mild roast, Bakers chocolate, a hint of dark fruit with mild nutty character, thin compared to American examples.

Dark brown with a tannish color head. Smooth, roasty malt with a bit of creaminess. Long finish with just a hint of hops to balance it out. Toast, coffee, and a hint of cocoa. Very nice.

(33 cl bottle from Systembolaget Hyllie; 2012 vintage) Pours mostly black with medium, tan head. Decent retention and good lace. Aroma is roasted malt with notes of bread and a hint of dust. Oily texture, soft carbonation, full body and a roasted, estery finish. Taste largely follows the nose but more fruity. Interesting but I liked the barrel-aged version better.
