Ever so slight brown head, a small ring of lace left rimming the edge of my glass. Black with a brown hue at the edges.Big nose of dark malts, smoke and licorice.Med/full body, creamy, slick, somewhat coating. Roasted malt, chocalate, mild vinous notes and a touch more smoke work well together. Finish is wet/dry. Damn fine porter!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
One of the few we Swedes can compete with on the international market. Full of chocolate and burnt sugar and though dry in the palate.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a smooth black color with ruby edges, not much for head or lacing; a little oily. Aroma is very complex with sweet raisins, fig and port shining first then followed by roasted chocolate and oak. Very refined. Flavor is subtle but explodes with flavors: smoke, chocolate, raisins. Finishes lightly sweet with a perfectly dry coffee mouthfeel. This is a great porter, I'm glad this was recommended I try.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
The flavor has the richness of an imperial stout, but it is contained in a mere 5.5% beer: absolutely amazing. Reminds me a lot of Rasputin. Chocolatety, perfect level of sweetness. One of the creamiest bodies I've encountered. Tremendous, and a great #600.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2001 vintage. Pours tar black with a decent tan head. Nose is predominantly coffee with a hint of malt and dark chocolate. The taste confirms this. More coffee with some sweetness. Very smooth and not as bitter as I was expecting. Lightly dried finish with more of the chocolate coming out. Great beer!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A very nice appearance in the pour, with a head that disappears faster than you can pour it, but leaves some nice creaminess at the top. Overwhelming taste of coffee, with a burnt bitter taste like espresso. Nicely roasted with a slightly oily mouthfeel, after warming, this one becomes slightly unbalanced and watery. Still though, creamy and rich, and not bad, definitely worth a try.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
As advertised on the label, coffee aroma that carried into the flavor. A good, hearty porter. Head disappeared fast but finished nicely to make up for that.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A lot of carbonation. This is the louded beer I've ever had, it was like pouring a can of cola. Not bad, but it did taste a bit watered down.
