500ml bottle. Black with a thick beige pour. Strong molasses and raisin nose, somewhat plummy. Bold flavor, thick molasses, dark chocolate and plums. Excellent lace, medium body. Some licorice comes through late. Good stuff!

Bottle in Bar Harbor, ME. Very pretty pour with a very dark brown colour, good carbonation and a tan head that dissolves into a khaki head. Aroma is mostly raisons but also a little coffee. Great flavour of more coffee but also well balanced. Very easy to drink.

I found this to be in the middle of porter/stout/imperial porter as far as taste goes. It was incredibly bitter, and dark and rich, but for some reason this one seemed to have little drinkability to me despite its low 5.6% abv.

500ml bottle (Systembolaget) - Gift from MiP - thanks! Very dark brown, large but brief frothy head. Sweet aroma, a little sickly, some nuttiness but also plasticky. Sickly sweet body too, soft carbonation, a little watery in places. Sweet plasticky roasted malts in the taste too. A decent burnt body - some chocolate. Subtle hoppy taste builds up and stays for the finish, along with the more astringent burnt corners of the taste.
