poured a black hue with a tan head. Some roasted coffee notes. Taste was malty with mainly coffee notes but a mild sweetness of caramel. A slight burnt after taste. Really smooth and easy to drink. not too heavy but not watery.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ElDesmadre (474) - Mikołów, POLAND - MAY 30, 2012
Bottle. Blackish brown with a creamy head. Strong aroma but without a dominant note. All is in equilibrium here - coffee, dark chocolate, plums, port wine, ground cocoa and some sourish-mineral notes. Low ABV for a baltic porter but a remarkably full body. The flavour remains quite subtle, with the oily consistency being skilfully balanced by a sourish note, the roastedness becoming evident only in the aftertaste, where there is a note of ash behind the coffeeish-mineral flavour. Light sweet, light bitter, light sourish, a bit of coffee, dark chocolate, dark fruit, roasted malt, mineral notes... This beer is all about moderation in its component parts but on the whole it is remarkably sumptuous.

Bottle. Pours black with a tanned head. A light red hue shining trough. Aromoa of roasted malts, licorice and spices. Realy inviting. Flavour has dry, roasted flavour with some sweetness in the back end. The spices make it... spicey. Great beer, great find!

Argang 2010 Huge, very dense & fine, very creamy dark-tan head over red-brown shot black beer. Very roasted/sweet aroma, roasted beans & chocolate. Again roasted to burnt flaovur. Dry woody, also cardboard; bitterness is there, but seems much more roasted than hoppy in character, the very finish maybe excepted. A bit of chocolate, certainly warming up, but I hardly get any coffee. Feels very well-bodied, aided by its low attenuation, creamy texture from the head, giving the impression of being very rich. Good, if a bit unidimensional porter. Txs to Mathieu & sis!

Aroma of roasted malt with a rather fresh and slightly metallic note. The taste is sweet with elements of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee, the aftertaste is lingering sweet and malty. Very nice!

Thin head. Nice reddish brown colour. Rich taste of chocolate with notes of coffee, leather and herbs. Not my favourite porter but I have definitely no resistance drinking it ;)

11.2oz bottle courtesy of tkrjukoff. Cheers, Timo! Pours a dark porter brown with an off-tan head. Nose is roasted malts, some sweet coffee, and ripe plums, with hints of spice. Flavor is similar- a blend of sweet coffee and ripe to overripe plums followed by roasted malts, a hint of chocolate, and a finish that is trying to be clean but some plummy fruit sneaks in. Excellent Baltic Porter.

Bottle from Bruisin Ales. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Faint hint of coffee on the nose. Bits of licorice on the tongue. Finish is solid. This one doesn’t do it for me.
