COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION We brew a small batch of something special every year to celebrate our Anniversary. The beer is released on July 3rd at our Anniversary celebration at 42nd Street Oyster Bar. Come and join us for the fun. This year we are making a Belgian Trippel. Our Belgian Tripel is a deep golden colored ale with complex fruity ester (banana) and phenolic (clove) aroma and flavor. There is also a definite warming feeling from the high alcohol. It is 9.4% ABV and is made with a large amount of pilsner malt with some caramel malts for a little sweetness and color. It also has a dose of Belgian Candi Sugar to add to the alcohol and give a slightly dry edge to the mild sweet finish. It is hopped with Hallertau and Saaz hops. It is unfiltered and highly carbonated.
On draft at brewery. Pours a darker golden color, hazy, white head. Heavy clove aroma, also banana, nutmeg, spices. Taste is mild sweet, both fruit and caramel malt flavors. Mild bitter and spice finish, high carbonation, finishes dry. Pretty nice Tripel overall.
