JCB (3804) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - DEC 24, 2012

Cask at the Black Friday Cask Festival, Triangle Brewing, Durham. A one-off blend of the Black IPA and a dry-hopped version of the Winter Porter. Black as night body, but not viscous - light, prickly, and lively body in fact. Nose of molasses, caramel, hints of spruce, and bitter herbal hops. Robustness of the porter gives things a real heft and balance, despite the intense hops. Makes for a nice combo beer.
