COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A lighter ale brewed with very select pale malts and mildly flavored with a blend of special hops. This beer is exceptionally smooth, crisp and very drinkable with a rich gold color.

[on tap in CLT airport] Sweet base malt and hay aroma with some faint lagery sulfur and young popcorn notes. Crystal clear straw under a short-lived white cover that clings to the glass. Weak flavour of hay and sweet pilsner-style malt that lets through some ethanol tang. Noble hops presence in the background. Light body and watery, with medium carbonation, and a faintly tart finish.

I remember this one, and I remember its many iterations, including the plastic 16oz bottle. Before many good beers came to NC, I bought this at the beach on occasion. Better than shitty macro, but still a bit sweet and corny. Slightly metallic.

Originally reviewed: 7/24/08. [This is the old pre-Foothills-takeover version]. Pours a murky golden color with a very small head. I poured this the same as I always do, and I got nothiní. Smells of sweet honey, fruit, and buttery biscuits. Some floral. Taste is clean and crisp. Very light-bodied. Not a ton of flavor going on, maybe some slight biscuity malt. Very smooth and well-balanced. Extremely easy to consume. This beer is not complex at all. Though it is very refreshing and pairs well with bbq or just after mowing the lawn.

Originally rated December 2004. My parents brought me back a 6-pack of this brew from the States. Poured a pale yellow colour with a white foamy head that left a good amount of lacing. The aroma I got was mostly grainy (right after the pour - and not much after that). The taste was mildly of malts and grasses. The aftertaste that kicked in after a while was rather sweet-tangy. Maybe better then Coors Light... but not sure ?!?!!

Gift from SJ. Hmm. This one just fell flat for me. Mild bread and mild hop, but nothing really poped out at me. Letís step up our game guys.

Aroma is quite strong and malty with firm yeasty and fruity notes, not great but promising. It pours a rather typical clear golden amber with a white head that disappears rather quickly. Malty flavor has a fruity undertone, apple and a touch of banana, slightly sour, just a whisper of hops. Body and fizz are about average. Nothing special, but fine for a party or to go with lunch.

Had at Paulís wedding on 10/29/2011. Pretty good as far as blondes go. A little sweet and no hops. Slight wheat taste too, though no wheat in it.
