2.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
I know and respect the former head brewer at Cottonwood and this beer makes it obvious that heís moved on. It does have a great almond aroma but only a touch of roast malt. I found the flavor weak in both roastiness and almonds and the mouthfeel was very watery. Don... come back!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
on tap at wing stop. black colored pour with a tan head. has a nice almond flavor followed by a nice coffee kick. malty finish, not really bitter. a little too sweet perhaps, but this IS a sweet stout. all in all, not bad to be brewed just up the road a little ways. id buy it again

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma and flavor of vanilla and almonds of course. Smooth drinking, but the finish could be more balanced.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bought a growler of this at Frugal MacDoogal in Fort Mill. Poured a total pitch black with a small tan head that laced a little bit. Aroma was of almonds, cream, and chocolate malts. The flavor had all of those things, and also a tiny bit of vanilla. This one needs some more hop to make it truly a good beer, but CBC is off to a good start on this one.
