2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 shendrix (478) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 17, 2006
A pleasant enough pilsner with a crisp, malty mouth feel. Almost no boquet with this one. There is a bit of citrus in the flavor, balanced against the dominating wheat and malts. A decent beer for washing down pizza, but overall, rather boring.

Pours traw yellow, clear. Heavy carbonation, fizzy. Mild hay aroma with just a hint of some soft of hop. Smooth, little bit sweet. Not my style, but one of the better Pilsners I’ve had
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 hopdog (6943) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 28, 2006
12oz bottle acquired in trade with Suttree (thanks). Poured a light to medium golden / yellow color with an avearged sized white head. Aromas of stronger grain, honey and lemons. Tastes of lighter grains with a light grassy finish. Thinner body.

Poured a very transparent golden color (looks macro). The head was very thick, fizzy, and white. Long lasting. The aroma is very pungent and sour, can’t put my finger on what it is. Tastes like macro crap. Could be miller lite or bud lite or anything. I couldn’t pick it out of a lineup if I had too. Disappointed considering the fact that I like Cottonwood.

I bought a 6-pack of this beer at the Food Lion on Hatteras Island. It was the FIRST time I bought beer in a grocery store. It poured a decent golden color, with a thin fizzy white head. Slight grassy and light fruity aroma. Thin mouthfeel. Rather bland, with a hint of malts and light fruits. Not very good.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 RCL (2025) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 29, 2006
Kinda odd, but not enough to be interesting. Macro-esque, but with a tiny bit more character. Utterly forgettable.....what was I typing about again?

The best thing about my experience with this beer is that it came in a 16 ounce, squishy, brown plastic bottle. "Tall Blonde." Very confusing drink. The label reads, "A Genuine Pilsner Style Beer." That it ain’t, and "Golden Ale/Blonde Ale" is probably the best place to leave it. It pours a dirty straw color and doesn’t produce much of a head. It smells of malt and overly ripened pears. Tastes malty with old fruit and an odd bitterness. This is one of those beers that raises the question, "Why?"

From notes 5/17/03:
Poured a somewhat hazy straw yellow with a moderate fluffy white head. Excellent lacing. Little aroma, mainly a little malt and a fairly obscure fruitish scent. Pear? Apple? The taste is not "pilsneresque", but definitely more golden ale. (I know the bottles claim a pilsner quality, but it’s just not so) A grainy feel. No crisp pilsner bite, but a subtle soft blonde ale ending.
