2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ToadMan (558) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 2, 2003
Very thin, looks likd Bud. Mild aroma of yeast and slightly hoppy. Starts very lemony, finishes somewhat sour and yeasty. I agree with a previous rater that it would be a nice picnic/bbq beer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Admiral (524) - Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 27, 2003
Not bad. Mine came in a glass bottle. Basic stereotypical blonde ale in appearance, flavor bready/yeasty almost like a lighter hefeweizen. Goes well with seafood.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Aurelius (3143) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 10, 2003
UPDATED: JAN 16, 2003 Doughy tasting, a little sweet, mildly hopped with very good (starchy?) mouthfeel. Specimen colored, lousy label and *eeek* a brown plastic longneck bottle. A bakery-smell aroma. Affordable and a very good party/picnic fare.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 UNCCTF (466) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 16, 2002
UPDATED: MAY 22, 2003 RE-RATE: Bloody freakin' hell, what was I thinking when I put this on an even keel with Pilsner Urquell at 3.4? Please keep in mind that this is the first non-BMC beer that I ever had, so I was young and impressionable and stupid. It's not bad, but it just tastes so adjunct-ish. Not watered down, though. I've had way worse, and it's okay for the money. If I were hosting a party, I'd probably get a bunch of these because you can drink a lot of 'em.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 PorterPounder (4107) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 13, 2002
UPDATED: JAN 10, 2003 Rerate - 1/10/03 - noticed the doughy aroma a bit more - nice mouthfeel to it as well. Original rating 2.5 - A little bit of complexity to this blond ale - nice bitter finish. Points off for the plastic bottle though. Fresh aroma.

I have to admit I was really impressed by this beer. Although this beer is rated as an Ale it isn’t as acidic as a beer such as Newcastle, and is more like a stronger lager with some substance. Nice bready flavor, good carbonation, good texture, and overall very refreshing. The only thing that keeps this beer from jumping up any higher is the glaring sweetness...
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 MilkmanDan (1943) - Eagan, Minnesota, USA - JUL 30, 2002
Hoo boy. Tastes like someone took a generic Eurolager and added some extra sweetness. Skunky and musty. The palate, at least, is creamy enough to make this vaguely refreshing, but the flavor is regrettable at best.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 dominion (78) - charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 15, 2002
Nice color and flavor. Nothing really jumps out with this beer. Good price for a case. Solid everyday beer
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Drew (2411) - Kent, Ohio, USA - JUL 14, 2002
Poured out of the plastic 16oz bottle with a nice big bubbly head. Thin sweet malty body with almost enough pilsener crispness - could have used a little more hopping. This is sold in 16oz bottles in a bag in a 12pak box - the box says ’Make your own cooler, just add ice!’
