COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A lighter ale brewed with very select pale malts and mildly flavored with a blend of special hops. This beer is exceptionally smooth, crisp and very drinkable with a rich gold color.

Really weak stuff. Had a sour ale flavor with some pepper in the finish. No identifiable malts or hops. Very light bodied. Moderately drinkable.

Bottle - Pours a light yellow. Small white head. Some fruit in the aroma. Same in the flavor. Neighbors brought this one back from trip to NC. Always nice to try something not otherwise available, but nothing above average about this beer. It is crisp and drinkable, but not much else. Probably would consider this a lawn mowing beer.

Poured a crystal clear bright yellow with a 1" foamy white head. Lots of carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. There was a light citrus aroma and some bready scent. The beer was thin in texture. There was good carbonation, which gave it its crispness. There was a slightly tart mild lemon/citrus flavor with a mild bitterness developing in the middle and fading quickly on the finish. Not something I would buy again.

Carolina Beer Company--Carolina Blonde--1999 12 oz. Bottle. 5.00% ABV. (2.25 / 5.0) Light clear golden color. Light but detectable hop front. Very light thin body with domestic lager character and not much flavor. Finishes easy. Sampled 10/18/1999.

Bottle. I was traveling through North Carolina and picked this up wanting to check out some good local brew. A) It’s a crappy beer; B) it’s not even local (the bottle says "bottled in Wilkes-Barre, PA"). Pours light yellow with a medium, frothy head. Aroma and flavor are thin and bad: overly grainy, with lots of fake lemon and a weird sour skunkiness. Nearly undrinkable; bland would have been better.

Very generic ale. Aroma was skunky, taste was watery and moutfeel is light.

Bottle from Chip’s in Kill Devil Hills. Well, this classified here as a pilsner but I thought it was a blond ale. Pours clear blond/golden with a white head that fades to a ring. Aroma is decent for the style: bready pale malt, grain, and sweet white wine. Flavor is similar, fairly sweet and subtle. Pale malt dominates, along with green apple, white grape, and mild spice. Grainy finish. Fairly light and sweet on the palate. Very drinkable, but not super-exciting.
