A lighter ale brewed with very select pale malts and mildly flavored with a blend of special hops. This beer is exceptionally smooth, crisp and very drinkable with a rich gold color.

Bottle: Poured a light golden color beer with a medium bubbly head with average retention. Aroma is quite subtle with some crisp malt noticeable. Taste is quite refreshing with some crisp and sweet malt. I had worst pils but this one just lack character to be truly interesting.

On tap into a pint glass...Pours light clear pee, white head that is ok...The aroma is corn and sweet sugar, no hops but at least it isn’t skunky...The taste is very sweet as well, very corny and generic, but again doesn’t taste bad, just not my thing. Needs a touch of hops and this would be ok.

On tap at A.W Shucks, Charleston. Golden color, no head. lots of fizz. flow like a mineral water. aroma of lemons might be from the wedge on the edge of my glass. BORING...

Bottle from Chip’s in Kill Devil Hills. Well, this classified here as a pilsner but I thought it was a blond ale. Pours clear blond/golden with a white head that fades to a ring. Aroma is decent for the style: bready pale malt, grain, and sweet white wine. Flavor is similar, fairly sweet and subtle. Pale malt dominates, along with green apple, white grape, and mild spice. Grainy finish. Fairly light and sweet on the palate. Very drinkable, but not super-exciting.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2003 Doughy tasting, a little sweet, mildly hopped with very good (starchy?) mouthfeel. Specimen colored, lousy label and *eeek* a brown plastic longneck bottle. A bakery-smell aroma. Affordable and a very good party/picnic fare.

14 oz glass at Taste of Carolina in the Charlotte airport. A clear brew that has a bit of copper. Very little carbonation to be seen. A small off white head is a ring. Its nose is light and grassy. More malt is in the flavor than is smelled. Some grain, too, and light grassy hops. Mouthfeel is fizzy. This is just ok.

Poured a very transparent golden color (looks macro). The head was very thick, fizzy, and white. Long lasting. The aroma is very pungent and sour, can’t put my finger on what it is. Tastes like macro crap. Could be miller lite or bud lite or anything. I couldn’t pick it out of a lineup if I had too. Disappointed considering the fact that I like Cottonwood.

Barely cloudy yellow color with a quickly dissipating white head. Sort of corny aroma. Taste is crisp and lagery with a slight bitterness. Not much going on.
