Apr 19, 2008 At the brewery. Dark brown/black pour with a thin tan head. The aroma is light chocolate, grainy, coffee. Subdued nose and flavor. grainy, weird upfront taste, a little bitter, chocolatey. Mediocre palate. Maybe i’ll try it again.

Apr 6, 2008 Very stouty with caramel malts... Full flavored with a rich creamy palate. The appearance is dark brown with a very small head that does not last long. Decent aroma. Not a great beer but good for a local place.

Jul 24, 2007 on tap-pours a tan head and black color. Aroma is sour, dark malt-molasses, oatmeal. Taste is sour, dark malt-roasty/molasses/chocolate, oatmeal, secondary flat hops. Occasional. OK carbonation.

Jul 24, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with beige head. The aroma is cold coffee, cola, and brazil nuts. The flavor reminds me of Coke Blak (that Coca-Cola and coffee mixture stuff), but not as carbonated. Grainy sweetness throughout, slightly metallic finish.

Jun 6, 2007 The one looked good and smelled good. But then dissapointed a bit with the mouthfeel (a bit weak and watery). Same earthiness/peatiness that I have noticed in other brews by this brewery. still overall a pretty good dry stout.
