3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a can this is an interesting drink that turns a little refreshing after a few glugs. Hazy, almost looks like a lighter hefe. At first I thot it lacked personality but then I think it has some tartness in there. Thew tartness carries over to the olfactory. Simply a good refreshing beer that hides it’s alky content rather well. Good all round session brew without any ill attributes, not bad! I could drink a sixer of these without any problem, nice job.

Metallic medicine taste right up front. Not a good beer.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz can served in a snifter.
Pours light amber, slightly hazy, with a weak head and minimal lacing.
Aroma: mild and pleasant with hops and bready malts. As expected for style.
Flavor: fruity for style, but not objectionable. Hops dominate malts.
Feel; Light carbonation and surprisingly full medium body.

12 oz. can into a stange
Can stamped best by 3/4/2016
A: A hard pour from the can yields 2 fingers of tight bubbly bone colored head. Good retention and nice lacing too. Clear medium gold body with a few lazy bubbles seen rising.
S: Dry white wine on the nose, slight grassy hop note. No malts detected. Light but fresh scent overall
T: Tart hop pucker up front with dry white grape flavor on the finish. Not the least bit malty or sweet. Simple with little complexity,
M: Very light soft texture with fine velvety foam giving a nice light dry and Champagne-like mouthfeel. Good but thin.
O: A respectable if not notable Kolsch but it really could benefit from a bit more malt heft and grain. Locally brewed, always available and well priced mean this is a nice anytime example of the style.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear golden pour. Normal head characteristics.
Nice nose of biscuit as a base with notes of pear and orange zest.
Light body with a smooth texture. Normal carbonation with a touch of middle effervescence and a fairly prickly finish.
The flavor profile is very good. It is a kolsch, so flavor intensity is laid back. You get the flavors of the nose and a clean finish. Everything is subtle with this beer, as the style typically is. 2012 GABF bronze medal winner.

From draft at brewery. Pours a hazy yellow with a small head. Aroma was very bready. The taste followed and drank like a Kolsch. A little citrus in there too.

12oz can, thanks to tmoney99. Damn, this is one soda-looking can. I swear we have a brand of indie-soda at my place of work that looks almost indistinguishable from this. Best by at the bottom of the can reads 12/13/14, but Tom gave this to me less than 2 weeks ago from his travels, and I’d be very surprised if he’d held onto this much longer than that. I’m rating this now because I believe that it’s a likely representation of what consumers can expect to find on the shelf, and for my own personal beer notes. Pours a hazy golden orange color, with a sort of excessive white airy fizzy head. I can’t even pour the whole can into my glass without pausing and waiting for the head to settle a bit. Touch of oxidization in the aroma, stale paper; mustiness. Dry taste, light to moderate bitter, lighter sweet. Mildly peppery. Bit of lemon. Medium body. Kind of lightly soft, tingly stronger carbonation. Light slick in the texture. Not a good craft golden. I thought it might still have a shot, after enjoying the pale ale a bit more than expected.. But this kolsch is worse off than expected even. Not even close to finishing it, lost interest very quick. Definitely check the dates on this one..

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can given to me by Tmoney99 consumed at home. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a large fluffy white head. The aroma and flavor have mild pale bready malts, light citrus and floral notes, yeast, very little bitterness, actually at the finish there is not much of anything, pretty boring. I don’t think there was anything bad about this, just nothing to get excited about either.
