This is bad. Watery with a metallic taste. Hardly any aroma and what there is is not good. Very thin finish. Lousy
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 KajII (344) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - JUL 10, 2009
UPDATED: NOV 25, 2011 Bottle. The pour was a cloudy amber with a thin (less than 1 finger) white foamy head that was fully diminishing and had fair lacing.
The aroma was moderately heavy of citrus hops, a light crystal malt and a skunky yeast with hints of caramel and grapefruit.
The taste was mildly bitter and lightly malty sweet with a note of caramel from the onset then became a tad more on the bitter side with a nice strong citrus (grapefruit) overtone at the end. The flavor lasted an average amount of time allowing for the bitter taste of the hops to linger.
The mouthfeel was light to medium in body with a dry texture and a mild carbonation.
Overall a bold and tasty Pale Ale that offered just the right amount of bitterness that did not totally overtake the nice mild sweet malty undertone.

12 oz bottle from Wlikie- Thanks Chris. Pours a veyr light coppery gold with a very low carbonation and a thin filmy head. Aroma is toasty warm biscuit malts, light caramel and a nice floral hop profile. Flavor is floral hops, light fruity esters, toast, and light toffee. Clean lightly bitter finish. Ok.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear yellow, a little darker than a Bud Light with a medium sized soapy head. It looked like the kind of beer that would go flat after a few minutes, but the head settled and lasted. Thin grainy nose. Flavor is more malty and sour than bitter, while the bitterness comes in for the finish. A little off balance, not great, but pretty easy to drink and moderately hopped for a session beer.

12 oz bottle: Pours a surprising rich amber color with a creamy head and nice lacing. A malty and hoppy aroma with hints of caramel and brown sugar. Somewhat of a watered down pale ale taste. However, there is a subtle hoppy finish. Not the best pale ale I’ve had, but a good one nonetheless.

Good beer, however nothing great about it. Pours golden with little head. Good pale taste. Good crisp finish.

Smells like a typical pale ale, and has the tart taste of a pale ale. Otherwise nothing really notable, though this is the most widely distributed Carolina Brewing Company variety.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a golden amber with a thin off-white head. Weak, hoppy malt aroma. A processed, hoppy flavor with a crisp finish. Not the best pale ale but refreshing and easy to drink.
