We changed it up this year. We made a Kolsch/Extra Pale Ale Hybrid. We took the best of two great beer styles, an Extra Pale Ale and a Kolsch, to create this one of a kind beer. It combines Pale and Crystal barley malt with malted wheat to give it a crisp flavor. It doesn’t finish quite as sharp as a pale ale; due to the wheat it’s a little fuller and rounder. It has a golden color, and is finished with Washington state Nugget and Cascade hops. We ferment it for 4 weeks using a subtle American ale yeast. It has an alcohol level of 4.8% ABV.

Light lemon hint amid spicy yeast notes on the nose. This hot weather blond is lightly wheaty and malty with dialed back hops playing a supporting role. Small white creamy head. Medium bodied with a hint of tartness in the finish.

Pours a clean and sharp straw gold with one to two fingers of creamy white head. LIght grassy aroma with a hint of delicate malt sweetness. Grassy in the flavor with a spicy/zesty quality and light bread component. Pretty clean with a slightly green character and hint of skunked. Light bodied and clean finish.
