Dropped off at Milltown by Joe the CEO. Pours a soft copper amber with one finger of dirty white head. Nose is super citrusy and pine, lots of citrus zest and pine resin with nice sweet malt balance. Sharp citrus rind bite in the flavor with a nice grapefruity sweetness. Malt shows through nicely, dry with a medium bite.

Bottle obtained in a trade with OldGrowth. Thanks! Bottled 11/25/08. Poured a clear copper color. The head was thick and off white with good retention and lacing. I smelled caramel, orange, toffee, mango, and a bit of pine. Medium bodied and sweet. Mild to moderate bitterness with caramel, guava, pine and wet stone flavors.

Bottle pours dark amber color with off white head. Aroma has a sweet caramel malt smell with a twang of hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is more caramel malt and finishes with a touch of hop flavor on the backside. When I first tried this I thought it was a red ale. I was surprised to see its an IPA. Guess I should have drank this sooner since its more malty now. A good brew never-the-less.

Poured crystal clear in a orange-copper color and off-white head. The aroma was a mix, but strong, of bready malt and citrus hop. Hops lean toward domination. The flavor is malt dominant but again strong in both malt and hop. Citrus being the main hop component. Almost a medium body with a semi-dry finish and a good bitterness. A solid IPA.

12oz bottle from ucusty - thanks, David! More robust and yeasty nose than CBC’s regular IPA, this one is appealing. Strong golden body, with an ample head and modest carbonation, this one has an earthy quality from the get-go. I get more pine and resin than citrus, which is fine, because it offsets the somewhat bready qualities that seem to persist in all of this brewery’s offerings. Pretty good. Thanks, D!
