Bottle, Bière d’Abbaye 1133. Light amber coloured beer with lots of carbonation and an average off-white head. Strong malty sweet light roasted sugary aroma with some light herby touches. Full creamy palate. Finish is bitter with some sweet malty and light alcoholic hints. An average blond ale.

Golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, light wheaty spicy nose. Light malty, grassy and herbal taste with notes of maize and orange peel. Rather bitter finish. Onedimensional.

downender (4387) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 14, 2008
Own-brand bottle bought in a branch of Champion in La Tremblade, France. Golden coloured with a short-lived white head. Aroma of sweet malt, honey and herbs. Flavour had some fruit and grassy hops, before a decent bitter finish. Ok.

JorisPPattyn (6727) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JAN 20, 2008
Yellowish golden beer with big, just off-white head, dense, leaving little lace. Astringency already in the nose. Toasted malts, slightly grassy on a background of more warm sweet malts. Little aroma from the orange peel. Grassy in the first instance, then malty, bit toasted, quite dull, pinch of saltiness. Maybe some orange zeste retronasal. Quite carbonated. Terribly dull.
