[ As Carrefour 1133 Biere dAbbaye ]. Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, roasted notes, moderate yeasty, toffee. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Very much a industrial beer. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081122]

Bottled. A dark golden beer with a fluffy, lazing, off-white head. The aroma is sweet with a metallic note of alcohol and a light note of malt. The flavor is sweet malty with metallic notes of alcohol as well as notes of dusty hops, leading to a dry metallic finish.

50 cL can as Biere d abbaye 1133. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a collapsing white head. Light phenolic and mild malty to cornish aroma. Caramel malty and mild spiced flavoured. Holds a nice yeasty phenolic dryness into the finish. Dry caramel malty finish.

Can. Clear golden coloured with a medium sized off white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel and brad with notes of dried fruits. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel with notes of bread and hops Hoppy finish.

Can, 6.2% as Carrefour 1133 Biere dAbbaye. Yeasty aroma. Clear amber colour, almost no head. The flavour is slightly yeasty, has some spice, cinnamon and clove. A little bitterness to balance. Better than expected.

Can at Papsoe’s - Thanks. Clear amber - white head. Yeasty, fruity, licorice, caramel, bitterness, spicy, dried fruits, light bread. Boring.

Bottle, as Carrefour 1133 Biere dAbbaye. A clear, golden beer with a small, dense and off-white head. Some cellar and wet cardboard blend with malty and fruity flavors reminiscent of those found in a blonde. The flavor is very much the same, mostly fruity with pale malts, some cellar and cardboard, and a slightly spiced note. Decent bitterness to balance the sweetness in the finish. Medium body. A boring one, really discount-ish. Been there done that. (090116)
