Brown Cow herds forth a complex biscuit and dark toast aroma. A beige head corrals this brilliant copper brown beer. Seven different malts with balancing hops round out the medium dry finish. Amazing! This Cow wonít steer you wrong.

Pours nut brown with an off-white head, The aroma has toastiness, nuts, dry caramel, mild duds and light earthiness. It has a medium crisp body with light sharp carbonation. It starts with dry nuttiness, coffee bitterness, spicy/woody hops and dried crackers. The finish is very dry and quite astringent. Good brown ale.

On tap at Shulaís Indianapolis. Pours a deep, ruby/caramel, with a half finger, off white head. Aroma has smooth notes of roasted malts, a bit of caramel, a hint of coffee, and more of a traditional hop. Taste is balanced. Mild roasted notes mixed with caramel, a bit of hop spice, and hints of coffee and chocolate at the end. Medium body and carbonation. Clean in the mouth. It would be refreshing if not for all the roasted flavours. Overall a pretty tasty brown ale. Nothing mind blowing but certainly done well.

I love it when local breweries make a great beer. This pours brown with a pale white head. Malt with a mild hoppy aroma. Roasted malt, chocolate taste with coffee hints. Malty aftertaste. Good Beer!

Hazy, brown with reddish edges and a lightly tan head. The aroma is crackers, toast, and a hint of dark chocolate. It has a medium body with slightly stick texture and average carbonation. The taste is sweet with a lip-smacking, dry finish.

Pour is a brown with a small white head. Aroma is a nice mix of roasted nut malt with a bit of chocolate malt. Flavor is again a nice roasted malt to start and then in comes some chocolate and a small touch of coffee bitterness. This was pretty good as far as brown ales go. Decent heavy mouthfeel with a nice malty backbone.

This bottled brew from a beer festival poured a head of foamy fine to medium sized bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation semi-opaque dark brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The nice aroma was brown malt and mild hop. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering dark malt aftertaste. The good flavor contained notes of mild spice nutty mild hops brown malt and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

12oz bottle, from Big Red Liquors in Indianapolis. Very dark red color. Thin off-white kind of bubbly head. Leaves decent bits of lace. Big dark fruit, toasty malt in the nose. Moderate bitter taste. Light sweet. Some raisin, dark fruit in the flavor, biscuity toasty malt, and herbal hoppy bitterness. Starting on my sandwich now... Good chocolate notes. Good light spicy bitterness, light sweet. Pretty nice, enjoyable brown ale. Went up several points after I let it sit for a bit and started munching on dinner. Smooth, crisp, flavorful, and easy drinking. I guess this is pretty much what I was craving... I passed by many IPAs, pilsners, pale ales, lagers, belgians while digging for something smooth and malty to go with my meal. Brown ales work great with sandwiches.
