3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours copper-brown with a big off-white head. Nose is strongly chocolate and brown sugar and a slight tart note. Flavor is less interesting, though chocolate definitely dominates the palate. Finish is fast. Nothing exceptional but certainly very drinkable and solid for a simple beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
16 ounce pour - $5.50 at Taco Mac in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a clear, brown body with some ruby-tinted hues at the edges. Slim, ivory-colored head.
Smell: Caramel, brown sugar and cocoa atop toasted breadcrusts charred and burnt at the edges with some mild, lighter fruity hints underneath.
Taste: Toasted malts with nutty caramel and brown sugar. Lightly fruity, hint of raisin, and, maybe some cherries, too. Thereís an underlying burnt roastiness that overrides the more pleasing íbrown aleí tastes. Backdrop of floral hops and some light bitterness. Drying finish with that roastiness having latched on.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: While itís not bad itís not overly likable with the sustained roasted kick.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle from Old Town. Aroma: Slightly spicy brown toast with some cocoa powder in tow. Appearance: Dark chestnut brown with soft carbonation holding up a foamy tan head that settles into a partially bubbly skin. Flavor: Semi dry toast up front becomes more spicy; cocoa enters and adds a semi-sweet element, but ultimately dries up at the finish. Palate: Full body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: Nicely done and flavorful brown ale; if anything, it feels a little heavy for 5%.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
The beer pours a brownish red with a small off-white head that fades quickly. The aroma blends roasted and caramel malts, and the taste is slightly umami and slightly sweet with strong nutty and subtle cocoa flavors. The palate does have a thin texture and medium-light body, but the carbonation does match nicely with the flavors dancing on the tongue.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a clear brown with a beige head of foam. The aroma has sweet malted milk balls. The taste is mind of whopper-esque. Medium body and medium to high carbonation. Decent, but very sweet.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle from shrubber85- thanks again, Roger! Pours a cloudy reddish brown with an inch of lasting frothy khaki colored head that leaves some lace. Notes of toasted and chocolate malts, grass, florals, tobacco, and earth. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, barely sweet, earthy mouthfeel. Certainly has a little more hop presence than most straight-up brown ales. Iíve only had two beers from these guys, and they seem to play with styles a wee bit without straying too far from intent. Two usually boring styles, two intriguing beers. Good stuff.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear cinnamon brown with a substantial, if somewhat effervescent, buff head. Aroma has roast malt and woody hop notes to it, not much else. Flavor is a little more substantial, and adds bready and chocolate notes to the mix. Thin texture lacks fizz, but it still goes down nicely. How now, Brown Cow?

12oz bottle from Binnys. I feel like 50% of these small brewery beers I pick up from Binnys are infected. Unfiltered amber brown body. Big gushing head. Infected...biting. What a friggin bunch of losers.
