Bought this from Liberia, Costa Rica, sampled lukewarm... Golden color, small white head. Sweet honeyish aroma mixed with grain and brewing cereals. Watery. Sweetish corn-like flavor. Hints of alcohol in the finish. Oily aftertaste. Flavors are fading away quickly.

12 oz. bottle poured into lager glass- poured golden yellow, transparent, white bubbled head formed then disappeared, medium carbonation, aroma of grain. Hits the mouth with a thin watery body, corn is very noticeable, finish is a little refreshing... that it’s over!

1 Qt bottle. Pours golden with thin bubbly white head. Aroma is mostly grainy with touches of adjunct and fruity diacetyls. Flavor is basic barley/corn malt, mild sweetness, light, mildly oily bitterness, green apple. Manages a pleasurable crisp finish.

Smells kind of weird. Looks like pale lager has a golden straw color. Retains a small head with a little lace. Flavor is dry, lightly hoppy, light corn flavor. This beer is refreshing at best. Mexican beer isn’t really my thing, but this one is one of the better ones I’ve had.

If your at a palapa on the beach in Cancun, it tastes wonderful. Medium golden brown color with a bit more bite than Corona or Modelo. It does seem to be a little better slightly warm rather than ice cold. Spring Break is still 6 weeks away however.

Had this a couple of days ago. LIght lager with a crisp palate. Some fruit with the hopping and a good amount of sweet corn aroma.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2008 This is decent beer in the middle of typical Mexican lagers. It’s deep gold with a big, airy, fizzy head dissipating to a few small, unattractive bubbles. The aroma is slightly moldy lager and also not pleasant. The taste is much better and the key, being light but with a persistent grain flavour mixed with a light, watery apple-cider element leading to a soft finish and grain aftertaste. It’s similar to Pabst in taste and feel, but more sweet and rough. Compared to Pacifico it has more flavour, but less crispness and is more rough.

I travel to Mexico quite often and this is a good ’I want a quick beer at the bar’ kind of beer, especially when warm. Better than most cheap American beers.
