2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Served in a bottle against my will, but I can guess what it looks like. Can’t smell it either, nice semisweet lagery flavor with mostly corn esters. Meh. I’ve had worse. Unfortunately as it warms up just a little it gets that stale beer twang that’s been saturated into baseball parks. Gets real bad real fast.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Mild, sweet corn and boiled rice nose. Clear, mid gold with moderate carbonation and a loose fluff of white. Thin, Starchy and pasty mouthfeel with little in the way of hops. Malt is light, cereal-like. That’s it. Summed up quickly. Boring! (35,5cL, BBE 12/15, Big El’s bar, Northbridge)

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
32 oz. bottle at home with some home made Thai papaya salad. Yum. It pours a brilliantly clear light gold color with a decent white head. The aroma is lightly flowery with some sulfer and old, musty malts. Light corn sweetness. The flavor has creamed corn, noticeable floral hops and a medium sweet finish. No DMS or plastic flavors. Pretty drinkable actually.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a pale gold with a short white head. It has a mild malt aroma with a flavor of light malt and a crisp finish over a light body.

One word sums it up: boring. Corn and sugar aroma. Quickly goes flat. Taste is mostly water with some metallic finish. Non-offensive.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a golden amber color with a small fizzy white head. The head fades almost instantly leaving just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is mostly of a bready and crackery smell with a bit of a grainy smell. Along with these smells are some light papery smells and a little bit of grass.
Taste – The taste begins with a very light bready flavor with a little bit of caramel and corny sweetness. As the taste advances the sweeter flavors fade, bringing a more cracker like flavor to the bready taste. All the while, a little bit of grass and earth as well as a papery taste all come to the tongue, leaving one with a rather dry and crisp, but slightly off, lager flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is very thin with a carbonation level that is rather high. For the crisp and lighter flavors of the brew the feel is quite appropriate and makes for a more refreshing summer style beer.
Overall – Ah… Nothing all that spectacular here. It is pretty much a sub-standard lager, that while light and crisp, really does not have the most palatable flavor profile.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not sure where or how I stumbled upon this beer. Either way, it felt like a fun choice for a Friday morning beer. 12 oz bottle poured. Transparent tinted gold color with a corn aroma. Creamy body to it, a little thicker than it’s competition. Other than that, flavor is pretty empty. Absent finish. I suppose it’s somewhat refreshing, as it has it’s ice water similarities. I’m not offended by this.

Carta Blanca is yellow water. It is so bland it is essentially neutral. There is the slightest hint of grain and a velvety smooth finish. Maybe it pairs well with spicy foods, but it is too thin to be a stand-alone drink.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
a just passable pale lager...ok cold and/or with food, otherwise typical pee pee water. There’s worse out there, though.
