2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a golden amber color with a small fizzy white head. The head fades almost instantly leaving just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is mostly of a bready and crackery smell with a bit of a grainy smell. Along with these smells are some light papery smells and a little bit of grass.
Taste – The taste begins with a very light bready flavor with a little bit of caramel and corny sweetness. As the taste advances the sweeter flavors fade, bringing a more cracker like flavor to the bready taste. All the while, a little bit of grass and earth as well as a papery taste all come to the tongue, leaving one with a rather dry and crisp, but slightly off, lager flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is very thin with a carbonation level that is rather high. For the crisp and lighter flavors of the brew the feel is quite appropriate and makes for a more refreshing summer style beer.
Overall – Ah… Nothing all that spectacular here. It is pretty much a sub-standard lager, that while light and crisp, really does not have the most palatable flavor profile.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not sure where or how I stumbled upon this beer. Either way, it felt like a fun choice for a Friday morning beer. 12 oz bottle poured. Transparent tinted gold color with a corn aroma. Creamy body to it, a little thicker than it’s competition. Other than that, flavor is pretty empty. Absent finish. I suppose it’s somewhat refreshing, as it has it’s ice water similarities. I’m not offended by this.

Carta Blanca is yellow water. It is so bland it is essentially neutral. There is the slightest hint of grain and a velvety smooth finish. Maybe it pairs well with spicy foods, but it is too thin to be a stand-alone drink.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
a just passable pale lager...ok cold and/or with food, otherwise typical pee pee water. There’s worse out there, though.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Had some cans of this in Costa Rica. I think they were 12oz but perhaps 340ml. ANYWAY, nothing too exciting to report. Poured a clear yellow with thin head that disappears quickly. aroma of grass and hay. no hops. taste.... well it’s refreshing in hot weather and nothing more. not offensive and better than Imperial.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Not awful but certainly not good! Pours a hazy gold w/ a big white head. The aroma is bready, malty, & has nearly a weird sour note to it. The taste unfortunately isn’t nearly as complex. It’s pretty clean & uninteresting while being slightly thin on the palate. Pale lager ehh.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount, into a pint glass. Not bad for a Mexican lager, easy drinking and pretty smooth. A bit bland. Light bodied. Crushed it.

Yes this is pretty bland and watery with some corn syrup. No head at all, which is pretty woeful. Guess it tastes good frozen on a hot day in Mexico.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, golden, minimal white head, no lacing. Aroma of grain and barley. Taste is bitter, of grain and straw, very watery. Not great, didn’t like it, if you are looking for a pale lager for a hot summer day there are quite better options out there.

Backlog. Bottle when in Mexico. Clear pale golden, small white fizzy head, recedes quickly; aroma grainy, corn, grass; moderate sweet, bit papery; crisp mouthfeel, watery texture, light body; dry finish.
