Evenly sloppily poured, the head disappears as soon as it forms. Pale yellow color with an aroma of corn mixed with the malt. Low on flavor and body. Nothing much here.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours light amber with a thin head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet malts with a slight grainy and nutty note. Bitter grassy taste with a finish of sweet toasted malts. Thin bodied and very slightly watery. Not too bad.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2007 Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, husks), trace hops (flowers), with light notes of plastic and DMS. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean, husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Quite poor.

The greatest thing about Carta Blanca is you have to buy it in Mexico in the short, stubby bottle - they make the bottles with a little indentation on the bottom so you can put one bottle on top of the otther and open them - a pretty simple idea but I think its pure genius. Beer is pretty good as well - nice malt/hops flavor - not too strong - pleasant mild beer.

Light golden color with a soft off white head. Light floral and malt aromas. Repeat light. Light sweetness thoughout that seems to build as you continue.

If your at a palapa on the beach in Cancun, it tastes wonderful. Medium golden brown color with a bit more bite than Corona or Modelo. It does seem to be a little better slightly warm rather than ice cold. Spring Break is still 6 weeks away however.

Light gold color, small head. Light bodied lager beer. Light malts, not very hoppy. Somewhat of a lemony flavor. Mouthfeel is crisp. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Oh my! You can still get this in America? Sampled during Swig-a-Swill Guzzler in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear straw pale brew with a thin white head that dissipates clean. Aroma of golden grain malt, corn and a touch of skonk. Taste is light bodied, lots of carbonation and flavors of golden grain malt, cornbread, grassy hops and a little skonk roadkill. Finish is watery, a touch of cardboard and then clean cut.

The label on the one I has was not so fancy. I don’t really feel like coming up with a creative way to describe how bland and typical this Lager is. Suffice it to say that it tastes a lot like the bland and typical Lager from every other country.
