From polycask at Great British Beer Festival, day 3, on 4 August 2011. A new producer to me. Seems they are probably making cider as a sideline to their main vineyard business. Rather pale, straw colour. This is made with "eaters" so, not surprisingly, this doesn’t have the tannins or farmyard depth of a cider made with traditional cider apples. There’s a touch of acidity and a fair amount of appley fruit which, probably, is responsible for it seeming rather sweeter than it actually is, as I would have put this on the sweet side of medium. So, although it’s not the most challenging cider, what you do get is a clean, easygoing, pleasant and dangerously quaffable cider.
