Like all things truly Jersey, 077XX makes the most in balancing through its accentuation of extremes. Inspired by the west coast IPAs we love, we added a thump of hops to a dynamic malt profile and chose a yeast to drive these two further than they wanted to go. Throw our water into this mix and you will find dank green resinous hops popping over orange, mango and papaya aromas, with just enough sweetness of body to make the long finish a pleasure to have around. A double IPA perfect for adding fuel to the fire of a dinner, a game, or an idea, drink it when your night matters.

Growler shared with Super Model Shawn Robinson, and Nic Knack. Nice notes of grapefruit and caramel malts. Bold grassy finish. Not bad.

Hoppy dankness with a light lacing of citrusy foam. Very smooth malty backbone and palate pleasing for a hophead like myself. Been wanting to try this puppy for a bit and was worth the wait to get a hold of. Carton is doing some nice things on the Jersey Shore. Fist pump!

Can thanks dmac! Poured into a jar. Nose is strong citrus and lightly earthy. Pale yellow with a small white head. Taste is initially bitter with little malt character. Hop flavor comes through as slightly like an aspirin. Starts to get a little more tropical as it warms. Nice.

16 oz. can, again huge thanks to Augie for bringing this down! Rich cloudy deep orange pour, beautiful fluffy beige head. Nose and flavor hold huge mango, nectarine, lychee, triple sec and peach schnapps, spruce, bitter lemon. Awesome how the malt balance is present, apparent to an experienced palate, but distinctly tertiary; the citrus and tropical fruits are indubitably the focus here, and the malt has just enough presence. Clean, not cloying, drinkable for just under 8 % ABV. Stellar, particularly for a style I don’t really drink anymore.

On tap at Moor Pat in Williamsville, NY. Nice beer, hazy orange-ish pour. Has a bit of a fruit feel to it with a deep boozy sweetness. Tastes heavier than it is; whether that’s a good thing or not is up to you.

Draft at Sugarburg. Pours clear pale amber with an inch of dense white head. Very nice. Aroma is dank tropical fruit, grain, honey, grapefruit, sweet malts. Ripe and appetizing. Taste is smooth grapefruit and mango juice with sweet malts and moderate pine. Booze is well integrated. Thick mouthfeel. Can see why people love this so much – good stuff.

On tap at the Irish Mile. Pours golden orange with a one finger white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, dank hops, tropical fruits, and sweet malts. Taste is about the same as the aroma with a lot of nice juicy citrus and piney hops. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouth feel and a semi dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty tasty DIPA that tastes more like it was brewed on the west coast then the east coast.
