COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
B.D.G. (Brunch. Dinner. Grub.) Brown Country Ale: Matching the right beer to the right food is a wonderful assignment. The contemplation of point and counter-point can can often be as much fun as the reward of good pairing. Sadly, in a life well lived there is not always time to contemplate what dinner will be, let alone what beverage will play best with it. Here we have selected malts to evoke the crusty breads that sit well next to every meal and seasoned it with the lemony,tarragon/thyme notes of Aramis hops. A go-to food friendly brown ale for the table. Drink D.B.G because you are what you eat... and drink.

Pours a clear amber with a medium white head. Aroma has nutty, caramely notes with some dry leaves. Flavor follows suit and adds some earthy bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and lively with a dry and earthy / bitter finish that is more bitter than expected but welcome.

Draft at Whole Foods Plymouth. Pours hazy deep brown with tan head. Nose was vienna malt, earthy brown sugar, mild cacao, fig. Tasted rich and complex for this style, with a brown malty flavor and notes of cacao, fig, and nuts.

Draft at the brewery. Light Coffee, caramel, malt, peanut, raisin, fig. An interesting complex brown ale that pairs we'll with heavy food. I've had this before with pizza and wings. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The Sampler, tap: Pours light brown with an off-white head. Aroma is dark fruits, nuts, caramel, and a hint of earthiness. I don’t know if it was the summer temperature or what, but I didn’t entirely dig this beer. Everything seems to have been done correctly, but it didn’t really come together for me. Somewhat sweet, lightly bitter, plenty of caramel.

They say they want it to be food friendly. That makes total sense to me. A lot going on but no 1 thing over the top.

On tap at Uno’s for beer week. Aroma of almond, malt and biscuit. Pours dirty brown with a big frothy head. Taste is malty deliciousness with cookie, cereal, figs, and nuts. Just a perfect brown ale. Loved this one and recommend to all.

On tap at the Grainhouse. Pours an amber orange color with white foam head. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel, and pine. Sticky caramel taste with a nice hop hit. Tasty.

Smells like someone farted on a cigarette after eating a lot of vegetables. Opaque brownish orange. Taste is Smokey, Ashy. Not bad taste. .. Aroma kills it.

Poured light amber in color with a thick white head. Aroma of spicy, earthy hops with a touch of bready malt. A decent beer but unbalanced for the style in my opinion. Needs more "brown ale" characteristics.
