Draft at bistro on bridge. Pours hazy reddish brown with a small off white head. The aroma has caramel, coffee, light roasted malt. The taste is a bit of coffee, caramel, fairly sweet but a dry, bitter finish.

Draft. Pours clear brown with a light tan head. Aroma is roasted oat and a hint of chocolate. Taste adds bread crusts, lemon and some tea like notes. Medium palate and carbonation. Good concept and pretty well executed.

Draught at Roberta’s. Hoppy and caramel. Was dark, so didn’t see a brown, but felt like some dark fruit to it. Decent.

Draft at the source. Murky golden color, tan head. Aroma of fresh hay, light cocoa. Taste is cocoa powder, brown bread, nutella. Looks are deceiving, this is nice, flavorful hoppy brown.

Tap at the brewery. Pours hazy dark orange with a medium, frothy white head, short retention with good lacing. Aroma is toast, nutty, and chocolate malt with dates and earthy hops. Flavor is malt forward with moderate hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Draft at Prohibition with Pat and Sean. Pours a cloudy brown with thin off -white head and soapy rings of lace. Nose of nuts, caramel , toffee. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel. Sweet, roasty, bitter finish.

Tap at Pacific Standard. Deep amber pour. The nose is spicy and malty. Lots of crusty bread and some fairly pronounced herbal hop notes. A bit of yeasty spice along with a lingering hoppiness. It’s a bit disjointed and doesn’t really come together for me. A bit sticky and sweet.

On tap @ the brewery. Pours a hazy dark copper color with a thin foamy off white head. Aroma of caramel, bread, light citrus, and some smokiness. Taste of caramel, nuts, citrus, slight alcohol, roasted coffee, and a slight smokiness.

Growler. Poured a brown color with a small sized off white head. Roasty, roasted nuts, caramel, and some chocolate. Some breadiness, Solid brown ale.

Pours brown somewhat translucent with a smaller grey head. Aroma brings sweet crusty malts and herbal grassiness from the hops. Flavor brings sweet toasty almonds with a smooth light bitter hop note.
