pours a deep slightly cloudy brown color. aroma is caramel malts and toasted nuts. taste is pretty much the same. very drinkable coming in at the same abv (6%) as an IPA which to me is a above average for a traditional brown ale but it goes down smooth. definitely love supporting the local beer scene. cheers!

Pours a clear amber with a medium white head. Aroma has nutty, caramely notes with some dry leaves. Flavor follows suit and adds some earthy bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and lively with a dry and earthy / bitter finish that is more bitter than expected but welcome.

Draft at Whole Foods Plymouth. Pours hazy deep brown with tan head. Nose was vienna malt, earthy brown sugar, mild cacao, fig. Tasted rich and complex for this style, with a brown malty flavor and notes of cacao, fig, and nuts.

Draft at the brewery. Light Coffee, caramel, malt, peanut, raisin, fig. An interesting complex brown ale that pairs we'll with heavy food. I've had this before with pizza and wings.

The Sampler, tap: Pours light brown with an off-white head. Aroma is dark fruits, nuts, caramel, and a hint of earthiness. I donít know if it was the summer temperature or what, but I didnít entirely dig this beer. Everything seems to have been done correctly, but it didnít really come together for me. Somewhat sweet, lightly bitter, plenty of caramel.

They say they want it to be food friendly. That makes total sense to me. A lot going on but no 1 thing over the top.

Smells like someone farted on a cigarette after eating a lot of vegetables. Opaque brownish orange. Taste is Smokey, Ashy. Not bad taste. ..
Aroma kills it.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured light amber in color with a thick white head. Aroma of spicy, earthy hops with a touch of bready malt. A decent beer but unbalanced for the style in my opinion. Needs more "brown ale" characteristics.
