3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft. Cola colored with a light tan head. Aroma is mostly roasted malt. Taste adds lots of peanut. Raisin doesn't become apparent until the beer really warms up and only in the aftertaste. Solid palate and carb. This is nice.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Stag’s Head. Pours almost pitch black with a brownish tint with a small tan head. Aroma is peanuts, roasted coffee, chocolate and some dark sweet fruit. Taste is slightly bitter of roasted coffee and dark chocolate with a peanut aftertaste. I felt the mouthfeel was a little thin and that with this type of flavor profile the beer could have been alot more in your face.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler at Dmac’s. Pours dark brown with a small lacing white head. Aroma is of chocolate, roasted peanuts, sweet light fruits (probably raisin). Taste is interesting, chocolate, peanuts, some sweet raisin, dried fruits, some lingering sweetness in there. Definitely unique, think the body is slightly thin for the style/ABV.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Well, I can’t say I’ve ever had dreams of drinking something called GORP, but here it is, from the tap. Nose of chocolate, roast, inky sticky malt, faint smoke, light nuts, berry. Dee brown deepening into black with a fizzy light brown head. Taste is lightly bitter with medium sweetness and a good, strong portery roast. Chocolate the strongest flavor component here, faint nuts, everything seemingly drying out with volume, some plummy notes under the berry. Very crisp full body with a little booze showing, but not too much (this still qualifies as ’dangerous’). Nothing too special; this is ’just’ a clean, chocolaty strong porter, which is still quite a pleasant thing.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft pour at Proletariat in New York. The pour is a hazed dark brown, with a well formed 1/2 inch light tan head. The aroma is peanuts, raisins, along with a lightly sweet malt and some faint roastiness. The taste is big on the peanut flavor right away, turning to the sweet raisin fruit, and then shows some of the roast malt towards the back. The palate is medium to heavy bodied, lower carbonation level, and a peanut, raisin, roast finish that lingers. This is very much a G.O.R.P. beer. Can’t say it was totally my thing, but it was well made.

On hand pump at Pour House, color is dark brown, almosyt black. Creamy thin head that stuck around with nice lacing. Aromas of raisins, roasted malt, peanuts, and chocolate. Taste is much of the same. Body was a little thin for me but I enjoyed the flavor and nose on this jersey brew.
