Very dark brown. Rich, chocolatey, oaty, hoppy nose...appetizing. Light, easy-drinking body. Creamy. Moderate bitterness. Complex chocolate malts, and maybe even a hint of minerals. Good stout.

Crosling (1861) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - MAR 27, 2005
1/2 Gallon Growler. Black with a small, filmy light tan head. Small malt driven aromatics (coffee, burnt malts, chocolate). Diverse range of malt flavor, while the smoothness and drinkability made the entire growler pretty easy to devour. Light chocolate, currant and coffee flavor with a touch of grapefruit on the back of the tonque. An enjoyable brew.

3fourths (6400) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 9, 2003
Black with a tan head. Buttery, yeasty aroma. Mild carbonation, cherry, butter, and vanilla flavors evident. Some malt body in the finish, but far too much of a butter presence.
