Cascade Apricot Ale is based on our Temptor Triple Ale that has undergone over 8 months of lactic fermentation and oak barrel aging. Ripe NW Apricots are fermented with this beer for 3 additional months. This hand packaged and bottle conditioned ale will only get better with age ... good luck waiting.

Serve at 45-50 Degrees F.

Bottle shared at a sour tasting at our place. Thanks Excellent Little Brother for the delivery! Clear gold with a white ring. Apricot, funk, lactic aroma with fruitiness and wood. Wood and sourness in the mouth, very stinky. Full body and earthy finish.

Draught at the Cascade Brewing Barrel House, Portland, OR. Cloudy yellow colour with a small white head. Dryness, fruits, sourness and mild sweetness in the aroma. The flavour is super sour and tart... I don't know if there's some apricot notes or not, it's just pure sourness... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The Sampler, NYC bottle: pours orange with white head. Aroma is apricot, brett and a good bunch of it, and vinegar. Taste is apricot at first but the sourness takes over. Brett is real prominent at the finish. Quite good. Very sour.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy gold with medium frothy off white head that lasts. The aroma is vinous, oak, faint apricot. Thin mouth with tart apricot, light funk, oak, lingering sour, really enjoyed this.

Bottle @ Uiltje bar, Lammetjesdag 2015. Hazy yellow coloured, off white head. Nose is sour fruity, apricot, cherry. Great smell. Flavour is sour fruits initially, apricot, lots of fruits, later dry and funky. Very nice.
