COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cascade Apricot Ale is based on our Temptor Triple Ale that has undergone over 8 months of lactic fermentation and oak barrel aging. Ripe NW Apricots are fermented with this beer for 3 additional months. This hand packaged and bottle conditioned ale will only get better with age ... good luck waiting.

Serve at 45-50 Degrees F.

750mL bottle, sampled at the 1st Annual Shenandoah Beer Throwdown, courtesy of acrdz. Thanks, Mike! Pours a hazy, peachy / apricot color; slightly viscous; off-white head with decent fine-bubbled lacing. Loads of tart apricots, peaches, mixed fruit syrup and citrus in the aroma; tart apricots and peaches, mostly; very generous. Highly carbonated; medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of tart apricots and peaches; mild acidity; plenty of citrus and sweet, syrupy fruits; not the best example of a fruited sour ale, but a decent amount of authentic apricots. Medium finish: sour apricots / peaches, sugar, and toasty malts.

750ml bottle from my man, todd. thank you sir...poured a bubbly medium caramel brown, semi-transparent with a thin wispy head.....very light apricot and tart aroma that exhibited somewhat of a musty character to it as well....flavors followed suit but i’m not getting as much apricot as others have mentioned. crisp and lively carbonation. this could have been a little more tart and sour for my liking but still not bad to try.

First beer that Kan shared with me on what I am calling "KAN"arama. What a day. This one started us off. Poured a nice dark orange. Aroma, breathe it deep, nice juicy apricots, and some acidic tartness. Taste is much the same, sweet malts balance dried apricots and a touch of tartness, balance is enough to take you through an entire glass. Nice lasting apricot in the mouth. I think I liked this way better than anyone else, but I thought it was great!

750ml thanks to derkruk and crew! This one definitely one of the better attempts at a fruit beer that I’ve come across. Light golden orange color with a big white head. Lots of apricot goodness flows into the nose when smelling this one. Flavors of funk, apricot, tartness, and gentle sweet malts make their way all over the palate for an overall great experience into the fruit beer world. Done with an almost lambic style twist, this one is worth the $17 price tag at least once.

750 ml bottle shared by hogfodder on 3/20/08. Rick had been talking all night about this brewery, and finally grabbed this out of the cellar. Pour is mostly clear orange gold with smallish white head. Aroma of malt and bright apricot citrus fruit. Taste has a huge apricot bite initially, and then trails off to a nice tart sour finish. Tom called it well-managed, and that hits it spot on. Really well made, but the fruit was a bit over the top for me. In terms of beer making ability, this beer certainly did not disappoint. I desperately want to try more of this brewer’s beer.

Pale, dull gold colour with a slight haze. Yoghurty, clean apricot aroma evokes morning dew and true love. Tart and clean. The hints of apricot are clean and gorgeous. Finishes soft, slightly sweet, moderately tart. Balanced and refreshing. Easily the best of the Cascade fruit beers, and one that lovers of Lindemans Peche should hunt down - it does the same thing only without the suck.

750. Thanks, Hogfodder! Hazy medium gold with dense fizzy white head. Huge apricot nose--forward, burns the nostrils a bit. Spectacular. Rich, creamy, slightly minerally mid-palate with forward apricots and bright, gentle, well-managed sourness. Long, lightly sour finish. Amazing.
