Cascade Apricot Ale is based on our Temptor Triple Ale that has undergone over 8 months of lactic fermentation and oak barrel aging. Ripe NW Apricots are fermented with this beer for 3 additional months. This hand packaged and bottle conditioned ale will only get better with age ... good luck waiting.

Serve at 45-50 Degrees F.

Excellent apricot and tart aroma. Fair size oak comes through on back end. Really good sour tart funk and blended well with the overall apricot flavors.

Bottle @ ZZT11. Hazy yellow to orange colour with a small white head. Smells apricot, sour, slightly farty, slightly pizza. Tastes sour as fuck, apricot, fruity. Medium body, pretty heavy carbo.

Bottle @ ZZT XI. Hazy almost opaque yellow color, average sized white to off-white head. Aroma is sourness, yellow fruits, apricot indeed. Taste is very sour, apricot, sour yellow fruits. Lingering sourness, lightly dry, sour fruitpeel. I must admit, one or two years ago, I would have rated this as dreadful or undrinkable. Guess this it what happens to you when you gain experience. Do I love it? No, not this one. Do I think it’s sour? Yes, very. But I can drink it and I like it, although I must admit a 75 cl bottle would probably be too much.

Excellent apricot and peachy aroma. The flavor and palate is fantastic like an apricot cognac. Heat is slight and adds to character. Once again apricot brany cognac. Really really good!

This is a nice fruit shot. It is not terribly complex but solid from top to bottom. It’s good and fruity with a solid apricot note brought out by a bit of sweetness but this is solidly sour beer, bracing but not harsh. It finishes with a lingering tartness and is slightly astringent with a good bit of fruit.

From the January 2014 3R6P tasting +++ Sampled from a 750 ml corked brown bottle this beer poured a golden amber color with a medium sized soapy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was musty, dusty, tart and sour with moderate apricot. The flavor was very sour, almost vinegary with notes of cracker, dust, must and vague apricot. Very long sour finish. Medium body. Ok but fairly disappointing.
