Cascade Apricot Ale is based on our Temptor Triple Ale that has undergone over 8 months of lactic fermentation and oak barrel aging. Ripe NW Apricots are fermented with this beer for 3 additional months. This hand packaged and bottle conditioned ale will only get better with age ... good luck waiting.

Bottle. Aroma of apricot, citric acid, stone fruit pit, and finishes with a nice peach. Taste is tart with with aromas that come forward of wood, funk, and reenforces the apricot. Dry lingering tart finish.

Bottle received in trade. Thank you nicks6217. Pours hazy yellow with a frothy white head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is tiny sour and fruity with crackers apricots, sulphur, hay, dry soil, lemon zest and leather. Taste is very sour with crackers, apricots, pineapple juice, hay, dry soil and sour milk. Mouthfeel is dry, tart, mouth-puckering, slightly burning acidic and light to medium bodied, finish is very sour with crackers, apricots, pineapple juice, mineral, hay and dry soil. Too sour I’m afraid,

Bottle shared at GTMW ticket line, pours a hazy golden with a thick white head and lacing, the aroma is of heavy fruit and apricot with a good amount of funk thrown in, the flavor has a really tart fruity front end with a sour kick in the finish, kind of one note though, fruit and sour, not much else comes through, not bad.

26/IV/14 - 75cl bottle @ ZBF 2014 (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2014-411) Thanks to the Belgian Ratebeer crew for sharing today’s beers! Thanks to Mathieu87 for sharing this haul from the Struise stand. ;-)

Cloudy pale yellow to orange beer, small aery off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty smelly, sourish, some urine, sourish, weird, fruity, apricots I guess. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, little bitter, lemon rind, some vinegar, lots of citric acidity, like lemon drop candy or something. Aftertaste: lots of citric acidity, lemon rind bitterness. Not a big fan.

2012 bottle from the cellar. Pours a cloudy light orange colour, with a large head that hangs around for a while, then dies to a lacing. Big aromas of soured apricots just smack you in the face, there’s a lot of apricots with a slight jammy sweetness, too. Funky, sweaty, acidic, citric, oaky aromas, too. Taste of tart apricots, bright acidity, light sweetness from the fruit, wood with a lot of sourness puckering the mouth. Lively carbonation aiding the sourness, sticky texture leading to an dry, bitter, long finish. A nice, refreshingly tart, sour ale.
