2011 project. Super sour nose with more funk than expected, slightest hint of fruit. Taste follows the nose almost identically. Not as fruit forward as I expected it to be, definitely sour. Reminds me of a quality gueuze.

On tap, poured in to a snifter. Aroma of apricot carries from a foot away from the glass; less apricot, more funk and sourness as you bring it closer to the nose. Quite sour, vinegar, apricot, lemon somewhat of an earthy/wild berry flavor. Medium body, leaves mouth tingling and only slightly dry. Overall a solid NW sour and one I’ll drink again.

Poured a 750 ML bottle of this into my 12oz Goose Island Tulip. Thanks for the brew Dan! 2011 Project Vintage. Aroma- Big fruit and musky sour aroma. Hits with a hint of apricot in the deep background if you search. Appearance- Pours a 1 finger head that has average head retention. Has a deep reddish-orange glowing color. Leaves a few suds behind. Flavor- Sour huge with a tart fruit flavor. Apricot is in the background again but after each drink, this character becomes more definite. Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, Medium Carbonation, Sour Apricot flavors from beginning to end and nice pucker at the finish. Overall Impression- Haven’t done a review in a while so when I popped this one, thought it would be a good one to start back on! Super sour and has a great apricot background. Highly Recommend this one and wouldn’t mind picking up another one of these in the near future! Trade anyone?

Bottle thanks to Jeff. This actually tied scores with Cantillon FouFOune. Aroma is very minimal giving off a slight apricot smell. Pours peach colored with a clearish body and small head. Taste is amazing with tart apricot up front. Great notes of oak and a band aid funk follow with a puckering apricot throughout. Much more intense than the cantillon and an easy favorite. Will have again.

PapaSkeetSkeet (681) - Corvallis, Oregon, USA - MAY 22, 2013
Deep gold, hints of amber, bright. Thin ring of white, coarse, heavy head. Aroma is straight-up sour, fairly intense. Body feels medium due to carbonation being on the lighter side (maybe?). Flavor is a burst of sour with apricot notes coming out after a second and lingering in a complex with some light nutty oak. Very good, like most Cascade brews, but not great (as their Sang beers are). Probably not worth 20$ a bottle, better to try their other beers first.

Dogbrick (6178) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Sample at the Barrel House. Slightly cloudy orange-amber color with a medium thin white head that diminishes steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of fresh apricot, yeast and citrus. Medium-bodied with flavors of apricots, earthy yeast and wheat. The finish is lightly sour with an apricot and citrus aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle share thanks to Paul, nice hazy amber pour with a layer of white head. Big bold apricot aroma with a backing yeasty funk. Taste is very similar, little oak backing, perfect fruity tartness.

A - Super hazy golden-orange with a finger of frothy white head. Fades normal. S - Funky brett and other yeasts, tart apricots, oak, vanilla, farmhouse character, lactic acid. T - Tart apricots and other citrus fruits, lots of funkiness and Brett, oak, vanilla, lactic acid, a touch of sourness, lemon zest. M - Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Smooth with a tart and funky finish. D - Great wild ale. The apricots are nice and tart and the overall beer well balanced.

Chilled 75 cl brown bottle into a tulip. Pours deep golden with light white head, with apricot aroma. Taste is wonderful apricot with some sour. This beer is great.

750 ml bottle shared at a tasting. Thanks! Pours a hazy copper with a white head of foam. Aroma is a nice peachy fruity tartness. Fruity sourness prevails throughout. This is real fucken good...

Golden-orange color topped by a quickly dissipating white head. Nice funky aroma, oak, apricot and peaches. Balanced acidity, nice bright fruit flavor, lively carbonation. Moderately dry finish, tempered by some jam-like apricot sweetness. Nice stuff.
