4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
750 ml corked and caged bottle. 2011 Project, 7.76% ABV. Pours cloudy orange with a medium off-white head that falls in about a minute into a skiff of foam. Aroma is full of apricot, dusty brett, Band-Aid. Taste is mouth-puckering sour, acidic, apricoty; finishes dry. Carbonation is pretty high, full-bodied. Excellent.

I really enjoyed the look of this beer. Poured into an oversized wine glass. Tons of bubbly white head that stayed throughout me drinking. I would get to the bottom of the glass and still have some of that sticky bubbles at the bottom, each new pour brought more beer, and lots more bubbles. A great peachy-orangy-ambery-yellowy color that I found extremely inviting. Aroma was a bit lack-luster: citrusy acidic tartness with nice fresh apricot. Taste was a punch in the mouth sour. I found my mouth watering from the aftertaste. Really dry, super tart, and great balanced fruitiness (apricot/kumquat) with some mild woody-spiciness. This beer literally danced around my tongue and had a nice light body without being watery.

Love the aroma on this. Oh BTW a 750 champagne style bottle. Back to aroma. Somewhat like asking through an orchard after a wet musty rain. Earthy yeast with a sharp sourness. Enjoyable drinking brew.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle: thanks, Jeff! Pale amber & peachy in color; foggy, cloudy, nearly opaque. Topped with a nimbus-like head that recedes almost as quickly as it plumes up. Aroma includes farm fresh apricots, sour, juicy, & lightly lactic all at once. Notable acidity on the noes with vinous oak in the background, perhaps with a slight indication of muddled funk. Taste includes huge sourness; light lacto yeast, big sour apricot notes, & a good amount of acetic acid in the finish. Hints of lemon & white grape flesh, a good oak-y character throughout, though not as vinous as the nose suggests. Damp hay, musty funk in the finish with a fading, juicy apricot & lemon tartness that turns into a gut wrenching acidity. This thing will give you an ulcer... but it will be the most delicious ulcer of your life.

On tap at barrel house 04AUG12 - from notes.
pours a nice golden ale with a white rim of foam. I dive in nose first - straight childhood hit me - I grew up with an apricot tree in the backyard. This was beautiful. I canít understand how they get the apricot into the nose like this - fucking magic. I taste, anticipating a little too sweet. I was wrong. Nice and tart with a good apricot flavor and some hints of lemon and the slightest taste of copper. Medium bodied with moderate carb and an off dry finish. I left with four bottles - so I musta liked it. So did my bride, so that is awesome.

Bottle from box aroma, pours an almost clear orange color with a small head head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of moist teenage naughty bits, sour fruit. Lots of reps. Fast Johnny in the back seat of the car at the drive in on Friday night. Taste is like Iím licking fast Johnnyís underwear...crusty, sweaty, cummy, bacterial, some fecal notes. Finishes pretty dry and fast just like Johnny. I fucken love Johnny.

November 26, 2013 - bottle from Cascade. The fruited sour theme continues. Yellowish orange pour with nice amount of head that lasted. Aroma was lots of wood, sour light fruit, malt and yeast. Taste was very sour and acidic (lemony) initially. There was quite a bit of wood as well. The light fruit was there, but very much took a backseat. I am glad I had a full 12 ounces of this because my rating would have been much different after only 3 ounces. As it warmed, the wood came out more and nicely balanced out the acid. 2012 vintage. Only one question remains though, what does the fox say?

750 ml corked bottle, 2011 project, 7,76% ABV. A hazy/cloudy orange beer, with an average sized, fizzy, lightly lacing, mostly diminishing white head. The aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately yeasty (barnyard, wet earth), with notes of apricots/peach and wood, some alcohol. The flavor is moderately sweet, heavily acidic. Medium body, velvety texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, extremely dry and long finish with a touch of bitterness, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Excellent stuff, very lactic, mildly vinegary, with a correct amount of fruit. Very tart. Iím only bstarting to explore this brewery, and this is a good way to begin.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
2012 bottle. Cloudy light straw with big foamy white head. Good mouth watering funky aroma, with notes of light fruit, and spent fireworks. Huge... mouth-puckering tartness.... WOW. Medium/light body. The tartness does give away to some nice fruit sweetness at the finish, with the apricot coming out subtly in the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is champagne like. This is superb.
