COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This "live" barrel of NW style sour is straight oak aged bing cherries. This is a component of the Kriek blend that was aged one year in oak. Tart cherry skins with hints of black currants and pirt greet you in the nose. Sharp dry cherries, aged dark fruit and oak on the palate lead to a pronounced rich dark cherry and finish with hints of cinnamon. This is a special treat from the blenders and a rare live barrel offering.

On-tap at Cascade Barrel House in Portland. Pours a hazy, muddled red with little lacing. Nose is vanilla and sweet cherries. Taste is very tart and you definitely get a powerful bing cherry flavor that lingers. Has a sour bite to it, but not overly offensive and has an enjoyably dry finish. They should really bottle this one.

Dark brownish red with almost no head. All cherry all the time with this beast. Quite good, but will be even better with some carbonation.
