not the most awesome beer in the world, but was a nice "summer afternoon" beer - citrus/floral hints on the nose, crisp mouthfeel which cleanses palate nicely, hints of citrus, floral hops, a beer i would drink again but not in large quantities - slight bitter malt flavour in back palate gets a little overpowering after a while, but still a decent beer.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Brilliantly clear, reasonable foamy head. Good aroma. Slight herbal skunk doesn’t last long, nice rich, milky malt character, honey, quite clean, sweaty Belgian hops(?) Very slight diacetyl gives the malt a bit of extra oopmh. Foamy, prickly mouthfeel is a bit of a problem. Nice pils malt flavour balanced more by carbonic acid than hop. Milk and water crackers. A reasonably competent, if one-dimensional, malty lager that just lacks the classy malt character (and a bit of hop) of a good Helles.

Hazy honey color, white head. Sweet, malty scent. Malty, bread taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium low bitterness. Grainy aftertaste.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very clear light yellow (blond?). Heaps of bubbles in the glass; soft drink-like. Nose has some character, faintly spicy with some aromatics. A bit of a surprise in the mouth….more herbally hoppy notes and spice, a little reminisce of a German hefe (but only just). Essentially light bodied but some credit must to the Cascade for the slight deviation from the norm.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pretty bland and easy going beer. Not really bad in any way. I found it had mixed notes of wheat and lager yeast. Was a little bit of an in-between beer. Solid quaffer

Bottle, Pours a light golden color with a small head that fades fairly quickly to no real lacing. Aroma of citrus, fruit and bit of malt sweetness and grain. Tatse of citrus with some fruit and mild malt sweetness. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Crisp and refreshing although is is abit bland. Nice summertime beer as it is refrshing and goes down easy.

Bland but not too bad. Straw colour with citrus notes. Not what i wld call a blonde beer though. Shame about the pathetic marketing on the label. Makes it look like a kids drink.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2005 Disappointing. Not a lot different from the Premium Lager in my opinion. It’s drinkable and reasonably refreshing, but there’s not much to this beer. Should have been calkled Cascade Bland.
Re-rate: on tap at the Transport Bar in Mebourne on a sunny Friday arvo. Must admit a few of these went down rather nicely. A bit more subtle than Cascade Premium Lager and I quite enjoyed it for a summer thirst quencher.
